The Enterprise Europe Network brings together major business functions inside and outside the EU. Member organisations include: chambers of commerce and industry, regional development organisations, universities and research institutes, and innovation agencies.
Supported by the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan has become one of the national contact points since 2015. Led by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), EEN Taiwan participates in the network as a consortium in hands with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA).
Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is a trade promoting organization sponsored by the government and industry organizations. The vision of TAITRA is to assist enterprises in expanding their global reach. Headquartered in Taipei, TAITRA has a team of 1,300 specialists and operates 5 local offices as well as 60+ branches worldwide. TAITRA has formed a global network dedicated to promoting world trade.
With TAITRA as a main contact window, EEN Taiwan has reached a fruitful outcome in establishing business connections between Taiwanese and European enterprises since the commencement of the EEN period 2022-2024. More than 300 EOIs and PODs have been contributed by members of EEN Taiwan, in which 35+ Partnership Achievements (PA) and Advisory Achievements (AA) have been made. In addition, EEN Taiwan has successfully organized / co-organized 80+ matchmaking events with other contact points in Europe. Collaborating with EU partners, EEN Taiwan is dedicated to enhancing the competitiveness of Taiwanese SMEs and start-ups and promoting EU-Taiwan trade relations.
